We headed out to try and catch the last of the snow left behind by the so called 'Beast from the east' and storm Emma. However, the snow was melting fast, and as it did so, a heavy mist descended. A change from the originally planned location was needed! I had photographed this small plantation of trees, in a quiet corner of the Yorkshire Wolds a number of years previously, and had always had it in mind that the uniform way the trees were planted in rows could make for some very interesting images with the added simplification of mist.
