misty beech trees at lower hopton woods, mirfield, west yorkshire

My local woodland, near mirfield, West Yorkshire and one of the only times I've photographed the woods in mist. The wood can be very difficult to phtograph, or in my experience anyway. The mist was a welcome addition as it helps to simplify the scene by altering otherwise brighter areas of sky in between the trees to midtone. The mist also subdues the otherwise vibrant autumn colours which is also a nice effect.
