View over Marsden Moor, towards Marsden, from Buckstones Moss in the southern pennines of West Yorkshire. The south pennines are relatively close to me, and I think slightly underrated for landscape photography. There are some bleak and featureless areas up there, and the number of water catchment reservoirs does tell you something about the type of weather you can expect. However there are one or two areas I really like, especially when the weather is on the moody side. This image is shot from the gritstone outcrop of Buckstones Moss and was taken in March.
