One of the things that draw me to the Yorkshire Wolds again and again is the challenge of finding interesting patterns and textures among the cultivated crop fields. The area is heavily farmed, so it's good to visit at all times of year, but in spring especially, the fields are cultivated and all manner of machinery leaves its mark on the landscape. It's a completely different challenge to some other areas, and often means using much longer focal length lenses to isolate much smaller areas.
