Copse of trees at Airton near Malham

Altocumulous clouds above this popular copse of trees seen from the roadside on the drive into Malham. I first photographed this little stand of trees some time around the year 2000. It was my first 'serious' day out with a camera, and although I'd taken lots of images while out walking or fishing, I'd never spent a day out with the specific intention of taking landscape photographs. Although not the most challenging of locations to photograph, the trees and surrounding countryside are difficult to resist, especially with early morning mist rolling over the fields.
