A beautiful Common Lizard basking on a dead log in the summer sunshine. This is a straight shot (Not focus stacked) with the Canon EF 180 MM macro lens on the EOS R5 using the EF-RF adaptor. With a little bit of patience (and no jerky movements!) it's unbelievable just how close you can get to these fascinating little creatures.
