Panoramic Landscapes

Shooting landscape images in the panoramic format has definitely added a new lease of life to many locations I've photographed regularly over the years. I very nearly went all in and bought a dedicated 6X17 panoramic film camera, my thinking being that I would improve composition by being able to see the whole image in the viewfinder, and that this would be a more versatile setup. I now think this was actually wrong, and that digital is far more versatile, especially with additions such as tilt/shift lenses and panoramic heads. All the images below were shot digitally. In most cases multiple vertical frames were stitched together to create either a 3:1 or 2:1 aspect ratio panorama. All are available as limited edition fine art prints.
