Photography Course Yorkshire - The Basics For Beginners - One To One Photography Workshop

If you want to learn how to take full control of your camera in manual exposure mode and leave the 'Auto' settings behind for good, then this one day photography course/workshop has been created especially for you. The workshop is also suitable for businesses/commercial enterprises looking to train staff to Photograph company products/projects/events etc, and serves as the perfect foundation for any area of Photography you might want to explore and possibly specialise in at a later date. The course is designed to help you learn in the simplest and most convenient way possible for you. As this is a one to one photography course/workshop, you are free to choose a date and time to exactly suit you. You don’t have to spend any time or extra cost on travelling. I can meet you at your home, office or business premises (Within West Yorkshire) to ensure that your learning experience is as fuss free as possible. I can also travel to areas outside of West Yorkshire but extra mileage is charged at 65p per mile.

We'll begin the day with a short theory session. Starting at the very beginning with simple explanations covering how the camera actually works. From there we’ll look at the digital file formats that your camera can shoot in, with simple explanations of their possible uses and why you might choose one over another. Next, we’ll de-mystify all those different camera settings, buttons and menus as we steadily walk through the process of setting up the camera to achieve the best possible image quality and sharpness. We'll then cover the basic fundamentals of exposure with simplified explanations regarding ISO, apertures, shutter speeds and how to use them for creative effect.

The remainder of the day is then spent putting everything we have learned into practice, and we can either do this using subjects around the house/garden or we can head out locally (weather permitting). By the end of the day, I can guarantee that you’ll never use the fully auto setting on your camera ever again.

The basics for beginners’ photography course/workshop is a 6-7 hour day and I also provide free follow up support and advice via email/phone after the workshop. I also send you a PDF file containing notes of everything we cover on the day.
