Summer sunset image from one of only two completely natural lakes to be found in Yorkshire... Malham Tarn. The other one is Semerwater in Wensleydale. Although there's a lot of great locations around Malham, because of the high ridge of Pikedaw Hill to the west, a lot of them are better photographed at sunrise as the hill blocks out much of the light, and color. Because it's higher up, Malham Tarn is not as affected and you get a clear view to the west. This shot was taken on an evening where the colours were quite subdued, shortly after the sun had dropped.
