The valley of Littondale in the Yorkshire Dales, bathed in soft early morning light. Another favourite location of many years, I really like the way the dry stone walls emphasise the contours of the hillside, and then continue down into the valley. The valley also gets some great sidelighting, which creates lovely contrast at certain times of year, and at certain times of day. With a correctly timed visit, one side of the valley can be softly lit, while the other is in total shadow. It's a stunningly beautiful spot!
