A patchwork pattern of dry stone walls and a traditional stone field barn or laithe, close to the village of Arncliffe, with the Limestone scree slope of Yew Cogar Scar visible in the background. Littondale is a favourite of mine for the 'archetypal' Yorkshire Dales image of dry stone walls and crumbling old stone field barns. Although the valley itself is beautiful, it's only when you get up above and onto the valley side that the real potential for images is revealed.
