Fresh new Beech leaves and a carpet of Bluebells in woodland near Leeds, West Yorkshire, UK. Bluebells usually come into their peak around the first couple of weeks of May, though this can depend on a number of factors leading up to that point, the main one being the temperature. This particular year, I was quite lucky as the newly grown Beech leaves were also at the peak of their spring colour.
