Biography

Having run a photography business now since 2007, and spending twenty years or so working as an engineer, I finally made the daunting decision to go full time with photography back in February 2015. I have run a busy schedule of landscape photography workshops since 2012, mainly from my home county of Yorkshire, but also occasionally to locations further afield. My work is on sale via the stock library, Alamy and I also supply prints on various media to both private and commercial clients. A selection of my framed prints are also on display at a handful of cafes and galleries, in and around the Yorkshire Dales national Park.

I am available to undertake commissioned work at relatively short notice, and can produce very large, high resolution files where this is a requirement. I own my own campervan/motorhome, so can stay on location as long as it takes to produce the required images for very little in the way of added expenses etc. I have worked with, and supplied images to various high level clients over the years. To name just a few, these include; The BBC, ITV, Ordnance Survey, Easyjet, Dalesman, Countryfile mag, country walking, TGO.

Notable achievements over the years include reaching the final round of judging for ‘Take a View’ landscape photographer of the year, on three separate occasions, and having my images exhibited at various venues, including the national theatre, London. Having images featured in the LPOTY exhibition books, and also meeting the great Charlie Waite in conjunction with the above.

I grew up in Lower Hopton, Mirfield, a small village about halfway between the towns of Huddersfield and Dewsbury, but now live with my partner and our two girls a few miles away, at Birstall, near Leeds.
